Sound meditations offer an opportunity to connect to a vibrational exchange with harmonics and overtones through a range of instruments, our own voices and the interplay between silence and sound.
Tapping into our true frequency through active listening, exploring a level of heightened sensitivity to sound, as a vibrational being, directing us toward healing from within.
For to listen, is to continually give up all expectation and to give our attention, completely and freshly, to what is before us, not really knowing what we will hear or what that will mean. In the practice of our days, to listen is to lean in, softly, with a willingness to be changed by what we hear.

โIโve always been someone who has appreciated meditation but unable to truly โdrop inโ to the moment. I had also experienced sound baths in the past, but no facilitator before had created the space or guidance to lead me deeper than just โhearing the sound.โ This was until I met George and experienced my first Sound of the Times. Not only is George intentional with the environment of sound he creates, but also clear on the journey he hopes to provide. Each person is individual but the intention of the session is the same. I first attended my first meditation with George in October 2021. Itโs been 7 months and I go consistently almost every week. As I result, I have processed a lot of deeper emotion I wasnโt able to before and have deepened my own spiritual practice outside of the Sound of the Times space. I canโt recommend George enough. This is unlike any sound bath youโve ever experienced before!โ

โSound of The Times is a mindful experience created by George Macpherson to engage our senses and spirit. In purpose of slowing down, being. The soul is free to blossom during practice with beautiful, vibrational energy. For self, transformative in community, of the universe.โ

โThe way George and his supporting cast can create and hold such a powerful yet gentle energy in a space using sound vibrations, is unlike anything Iโve experienced. There is a moment when you remember, to just be open to receiving, and the magic begins. After long work weeks, a relaxing Friday night with Sound of the Times is one of my favorite things to do.โ

โAs a cancer patient Iโve taken a lot of holistic styles of classes but never have I ever experienced a class like this. The sound meditation with George was something so beautiful that it touched me very profoundly. I felt like my body was floating. The atmosphere, the music, Georgeโs voice and energy, and the environment takes you to a place of relaxation and healing that would be difficult to achieve otherwise.
My teenage daughter was there and everyday since the class she has done breath work and been inspired to deep breathe and meditate daily, something I had been trying to get her to do prior to the class. If you do anything on a visit to NYC or if you live there try a class here.. it is one of the best gifts you can ever give to yourself.โ

โBreathwork & Sound is an amazing class that taught me a new way to be present with my body and feel new sensations both physically, mentally and spiritually. I recommend this class to everyone. George is phenomenal, very southing voice, kind and knowledgeable. Can't wait to take my next class.โ

HAVE A LISTENโฆ
Iโve been a listener, fan boy, follower etc of Ryan Willms Into The Well insightful podcast series for a while now, Iโve learned a lot from his guests and Ryan himself.
This podcast whilst long (!) is a pretty neat 360 summation of me and the work Iโm doing ; all of which Iโm really grateful for.
Creating and sharing sound practice over on SoundCloud, I like to time these to the change in seasons, across the Spring and Autumn Equinox, Summer and Winter Solstice.
